CIMMERONX Electric Coffee Grinders

Home/About

We make the part nobody photographs

CIMMERONX Grinder Works Co., Ltd. builds electric coffee grinders. We are a small team in one building, and most of what we make leaves it with somebody else's name on the front — which is exactly the arrangement we prefer.

What the company actually is

We are a contract manufacturer, not a coffee brand. Most of our output is OEM or ODM work: a retailer, an appliance brand or a coffee roaster arrives with a price point and a drink in mind, and we return a burr recommendation, a ground-coffee comparison, a piece price and eventually a finished grinder in their carton.

The company started with one flat-burr platform in a rented unit. It grew the way most machine shops grow — slowly, and by refusing to buy in the parts that decide whether the product is any good. Today the burrs, the motors, the alignment and the calibration are all ours; die casting, anodising and TiN coating go to trusted partners nearby.

We have stayed deliberately small. Our volume is not what interests a large appliance contractor, which is precisely why the work comes to us: at this size the engineer who chose your burr geometry is the one who answers your email long after the order shipped.

Why we talk about burrs and not beans

A grinder is three hard problems bolted together: a cutting tool, a drive and a dose. Of those, the cutting tool is the one that decides how the coffee tastes, and it is also the one that is easiest to quietly cheapen — a burr set that looks identical in a photograph can differ by four points of hardness and half a millimetre of runout.

So the burr is where our engineering argument lives. We publish diameters, hardness, grind ranges and expected burr life on the homepage burr table because those are the numbers a buyer can hold us to.

One thing we do not do: espresso machines, brewers, kettles or scales. Every enquiry for those gets an honest referral rather than a quotation. A plant laid out for burr grinding and motor winding has no business pretending otherwise.

What sits behind a quotation

Not marketing figures — these are the tolerances and turnarounds a customer can hold us to, measured on our own benches.

Scope of business

What you can actually buy from us

Four kinds of engagement. The first two are the majority of our revenue.

01

ODM — our platform, your brand

Pick one of the twelve models already tooled, specify finish, dial curve, firmware, voltage and packaging, and it ships in your carton under your part number. No tooling cost, 30–35 day repeats.

02

OEM — your design, our plant

You bring drawings or a reference grinder; we cut tooling in-house, sample in 21–30 days and hold the tool under your part number. You own it and can call it back.

03

Burr sets as a component

Loose 38–98 mm flat and conical sets, steel or TiN-coated, sold to grinder makers and to service networks that stock spares.

04

Grind engineering

Particle-distribution work for roasters and equipment brands: we measure your reference grinder, characterise the curve and say what burr and RPM would reproduce or beat it.

Want the version with numbers in it?

Send the drink, the duty cycle and the quantity. You get a burr recommendation and a piece price, usually within two working days.
